Genesis Covenant Church is now embracing Disaster Relief as its next mission project for this quarter. We have been informed that 100% of our monetary contributions, if designated as Disaster Relief, will go directly to the cause. With all the devastation in Haiti and Louisiana, we feel the need to provide some type of assistance. We have been informed that sending financial aid, rather than goods, to Louisianians impacted by Hurricane Ida is best at this time. Just imagine losing everything you ever owned and still weeks after Hurricane Ida made landfall in Louisiana, people are still without electricity in some areas.
Secondly, it breaks our hearts to watch thousands of Haitians turned away who are trying to cross the Mexican-American border to get into America. Remember the latest earthquake to strike Haiti killed some 2,200 people. It is our belief that every little bit helps in times such as this. Therefore, we are asking you to donate goods and items to this cause for the Haitians. Please see the urgent needs on the second page.
If you are interested in contributing to the Disaster Relief Fund, please send checks to Genesis Covenant Church, P.O. Box 91, 9134 Piscataway Road, Clinton, Maryland 20735. Please write Relief on your check in the memo section or you may wish to pay online. Feel free to visit our website at genesiscovenant.org.
Lastly, if you would like to donate items, Genesis Covenant Church will be collecting items that will benefit the victims of the earthquake that struck the southern region of Haiti on August 14th. On Sunday, October 3, 2021, you may drop items off at the RR&BBB Farm, 16601 Tanyard Road, Upper Marlboro, MD 20772 between the hours of 12:00 Noon until 3:00 p.m. The most urgent needs are:
