In Psalm 51, King David’s prayer and plea for mercy was, “Have mercy on me, O. God, according to your steadfast love.” and “Have mercy upon me, O God, according to your lovingkindness” Psalm 51: 1, 8.

Romans 12:16 says, “Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of all positions.”

As the Apostle Paul says in Philippians 3:13-14, and I paraphrase, “encouraging believers to forget what is in the past and press forward to what lies ahead.”

Proverbs 19:2 warns that “He who makes haste with his feet misses his way”’ suggesting that shortcuts may lead to unnecessary mistakes.

We are encouraged in James 4:10 and 1 Peter 5:6, which says, “Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God, so that at the proper time he may exalt you.”

Matthew 5:23-24 says, “So if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar and go. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.”
