Evangelism Ministry

Evangelism means sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with others who do not know Him or follow Him.

We believe that all persons are called to be evangelist, for each of us has a “good news” story or should have a “good news” story about Jesus Christ. This is the greatest news anyone could ever hear or share. It is our hope that we might be able to influence and encourage others to accept Jesus as Lord and Savior. One of the greatest techniques used is by word of mouth to family, friends, co-workers, etc. We encourage you to share your faith story with others so that they might come to Christ.

Genesis Covenant Church believes that there are various ways to reach others and bring them to Christ. Our intent is not to bombard or invade anyone’s personal space to the point that they feel intimidated. Our goal is to simply bring others to Christ as prescribed in Matthew 28:19: “Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and the Holy Spirit.” Also, we believe the words of Timothy 2:4-6: “God wants everyone to be saved and to fully understand the truth. There is only one God, and there is only one way that people can reach God. The way is through Christ Jesus, who as a man gave himself to pay for everyone to be free.”

The Bible also tells us in Luke 15:4: “What man of you having a hundred sheep, if he has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the open country, and go after the one that is lost, until He finds it.”  The pandemic, in our opinion, has caused persons to wander or depart from Christ and we would like to forge a relationship with those persons in finding their way back to Him.

All of us should be excited to share with others the opportunity for eternal life. We would think that all of us would want our family members and friends to be with us when Christ returns.

The question we ask today is this, “Can you as a Christian take responsibility for bringing one person to Christ?” The question is not, have you brought persons to church, rather have you brought persons to Christ?

It I our hope that we will grow to the point that we will be able to teach others to share the good news about their faith. Please pray for us as we take this leap of faith for Jesus!

Prayer Request

“Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of the righteous person is powerful and effective.”
James 5:16
