When I Woke Up This Morning! (Treasures)
Matthew 6:19 says, “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal.”

Matthew 6:19 says, “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal.”

When I woke up this morning, I received a reminder that today is Juneteenth, a federal holiday. Today is a day for us to celebrate, but

“Teach me the way I should go. Answer me quickly, O Lord; my spirit fails. Do not hide your face from me, or I shall be like those who go down to the pit. Let me hear of your steadfast love in the morning, for in you I put my trust. Teach me the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul.” Psalm 143:7,8

I leave this passage of scripture to assist in coping with paranoia: “Be careful for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God” (Philippians 4:6-7)

Here is the good news from 2 Corinthians 1:3-4: “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.”

The Bible says, “He is the way of life that keepeth instruction; but he that refuseth reproof erreth.” Proverbs 10:17

The Bible says that confidentiality is a mark of a trustworthy and faithful person. It warns against revealing secrets, especially those that can harm others or damage relationships. It also advises not to associate with a gossiper or slanderer, who spreads rumors and exposes secrets

“Neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Romans 2:11 tells us that “God shows no partiality.”

All are invited to join us for a time of worship, food, games, music and more!

“If anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for his immediate family, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.” 1 Timothy 5:8

“I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.” 1 Corinthians 3:2

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race (2 Timothy 4:6-8). And, “One thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 3:13-14)

Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you. Isaiah 46:4

“In all the work you are doing, work the best you can. Work as if you were doing it for the Lord. Not for people.” Colossians 3: 23

“Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; a man’s life does not consist of abundance of his possessions.” Luke 12:15

“I will make thee an altar unto God who answered me in the day of my distress, and was with me in the way in which I went” Genesis 35:3

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.” Isaiah 43:2

“I urge you, first of all to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks to them.” Timothy 2:1
“Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of the righteous person is powerful and effective.”
James 5:16
